Summary: Using Gaia DR2 kinematics plus LAMOST/SEGUE metallicities and age estimates, the paper argues that the Anticenter Stream is spatially/kinematically decoupled from Monoceros and is an older, slightly more metal-poor disc tidal feature and is consistent with excitation by an early Sagittarius passage rather than an accreted stream.
